The 37th Fajr Film Festival is to pay tribute to five well-known Iranian cineastes.
The honorees include designer and art director Ebrahim Haqiqi, director and screenwriter Azizollah Hamid-Nejad, voice actor Khosro Khosroshahi, actress Fatemeh Motamed-Aria and film editor Abbas Ganjavi.

Born in 1949, Haqiqi is the designer of Simorgh, the icon of Fajr Film Festival. He also has designed posters for seven editions of the prestigious Iranian festival, ifilmtv.com wrote.

Haqiqi, who designed over 70 posters for feature movies, received an honorary diploma for designing the poster for the movie, ‘Tik-Tak’. He was also awarded for the trailer of ‘Frosty Roads’ in 6th Fajr Film Festival.

The 59-year old filmmaker Hamid-Nejad won Crystal Simorgh award at the 10th edition of the festival for ‘Hoor on Fire’ movie. He served as a member of the panel of jury in different editions of the festival.

Iranian voice actor Khosroshahi has been the voice director in more than 85 movies.

Born in 1961, well-known actress Motamed-Aria was nominated for Crystal Simorgh for ‘Here, Without Me’ (2010), ‘Gilaneh’ (2003), ‘Life’ (1997), ‘Blue Scarf’ (1994), and ‘Reyhaneh’ (1989).

She garnered the award of best actress in a leading role for ‘Spouse’ and ‘Once Forever’. She also won the award of best actress in a supporting role for ‘Passengers’ and ‘Wasteland’.

Born in 1941, Ganjavi won Fajr awards for ‘Tatoureh’ and ‘Chrysanthemum’. He was also nominated for Crystal Simorgh for a number of movies and series including ‘Kimia’, ‘Two Films with One Ticket’, ‘A Place to Live’ and ‘Blue Scarf’. / Iran daily  /
